New Year's Day Tournament
The tennis year got off to a soggy start on New Year's Day, but all was not in vain, as Bob reports on the Club Tournaments page.
Committee Vacancies
The club welcomes any members that would like to be involved and in particular, there are still vacancies for Match Secretary and Bar Secretary. As the present incumbents do not wish to be considered for re-election, it is important that we have some fresh faces.

Competitive tennis is played throughout the year by over 25 teams of Full, Junior, Student and Veteran members. In-house tennis includes tournaments, box leagues, ladders and social play.
Our Junior Academy has almost a hundred players in various coaching programmes.
In addition to being afiliated to the Herts branch of the LTA, the club fields teams playing in the Watford & District and Herts Leagues during the season, as well as Ladies "Mid-week", Ladies & Mens Veterans, and Winter Indoor Leagues against other clubs.
The clubhouse with bar, kitchen, changing rooms and showers is a great venue for social events which would include a Hog Roast, a Dinner and Dance Ball, Club Nights and Barbeque or "Food" evenings. It is available to members for private hire.
BRIDGE (all standards) is played most Thursday evenings starting 8.00pm
Joining is easy - just print out the application and return to the Membership Secretary at the club address on the bottom of this page.
